Whoever said battling food addiction was a single-player game? Fighting off urges and cravings can be almost impossible alone, and it’s important to surround yourself with friends who can support you. Many people do fall victim to their food addiction, and they don’t have friends to tell them it’s okay. Surround yourself with friendly foodies.

It’s important to surround yourself with those whose opinions differ from you, but it can help to have those friends with the same diet plan as you. One of the biggest food traps is seeing your friends eating food you’ve been craving and joining in. Invite your friends to join in on your plan or at least ask them to take notice of it. It can be challenging to fight off food urges if they always surround you. Now, don’t let your friends control you. If they’re aware of your diet, don’t allow them to manage it. Have you ever gone out to eat with someone, and they continuously insist (and almost force) you get a particular dish? Don’t put yourself in that situation. Go out with friends who you know won’t pressure you.

Friends are super important. Everyone needs a break from the everyday grind, and friends can provide the fun and support you’ve been missing. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, and don’t feel like you have to battle your cravings and food addiction alone. Having someone to support you at your best and pick you up at your worst could be essential to your success. Find Friendly Foodies!!
