No good decision is ever made with a shrug of our shoulders, “Roll the dice” or “I will figure it out when I get there” type attitude.

This is especially true when it comes to our struggles with food.

So, while we’ve talked ENDLESSLY about planning, we have yet another suggestion up our sleeves.  Make and claim your bottom lines.

What’s a bottom line? It’s an absolute. It’s something that you will or won’t do NO MATTER WHAT.

While you don’t need to have it all figured out (although we prefer that you do), make a hard commitment to some solid bottom line behaviors that will serve you and your recovery.

-Bottom line’s don’t have to be excruciating and awful — it can be as simple as, “I won’t drink at the party” – or “I’m only going to stick to one plate of food (no seconds)”.

-Something is ALWAYS better than nothing with bottom lines, and following bottom lines makes you follow more bottom lines! YAY!

So, in the name of self-love and self-care, make yourself some bottom lines for those upcoming parties, events or everyday life!  Your recovery will thank you 🙂

With Light and Love,
