When it comes down to dinnertime, it can be hard to choose between going out or staying in and cooking.

Sometimes, we’re lazy. We don’t want to take the time to cook, so we just run and get a quick meal. Cooking involves getting the ingredients, preparation, then the actual cooking. Going out to get food is just sooo much easier.

While going out to get food might be faster and easier, it may not be the healthier choice. In fact, researchers at Harvard just posted a blog post about how their studies have proved that staying home and cooking is healthy. In the post, it’s mentioned how important it is to have proper instructions. Some people want to cook at home to be more healthy, but they have no idea how to cook.

Cooking can be fun and also a way to help clear your mind. Having a task keeps you busy and discourages your mind from wandering off to whatever may be causing you stress. When you learn to cook for yourself, it helps you stay healthy, it keeps your mind focused on the task at hand, and it also puts you in charge. When you cook, you can’t blame restaurants for their unhealthy food because you’re eating what you chose to put into your food. You establish a sense of responsibility for yourself. Be in charge and be happy!! Click here for some recipe ideas.
