Stepping into the Cool Air
Fall is here. Days are getting cooler, and we want nothing but to sit by the fire and drink hot cocoa. As the season goes on, it’s easy to become a homebody. It’s easy to become too wrapped up in blankets and thought.
There’s nothing wrong with being a homebody. In fact, we encourage alone time because it gives you a chance to catch up with yourself. It becomes harmful when you only communicate with yourself. Too much time in isolation can lead to loneliness, which can, in turn, lead to stress and depression. Get outside and mingle.
Establishing relationships is so so important. Relationships, friendly or romantic, give you a support system. When you have relationships, you have people who can help you through many struggles. Instead of fighting your battles alone, you have someone by your side.
Expressing yourself and your emotions are necessary. It’s a fact that suppressing and hiding your feelings is detrimental to your health. Expressing thoughts relives the pressure and buildup of stress in your mind. When you have people that listen and respond to you, you can make better judgments about yourself and others. You can gain a more positive perspective and be happier.
