Alex is passionate about helping people find peace in their relationship with food. She brings a style of radical genuineness and deep love for her work as a Behavioral Coach. She understands your struggle and suffering, and your belief that after years of diet trauma, nothing will work. Alex is fully committed to helping you reach your full potential.
Alex has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. At Columbia, Alex completed intensive training in the DBT Program and provided therapeutic services for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Alex also conducted research on addictive eating behaviors at the University of Michigan.
Alex found Beacon while completing her training in the DBT Program at Columbia. She knew right away that Beacon was offering something very different than any other eating disorder or weight loss program she had seen before and knew it was where she wanted to practice. Alex is so ecstatic to be a part of the Beacon Team and feels it is her perfect “work home.”
